Description:
Duane Richard Raoul Faralla (1916 - 1996) wood figure. This erotic wood figure was painted using a combination of blues and purples. The left arm has been replaced from the elbow. The feet on base was a little loose and we had them reinforced.
About the Artist:
Faralla was born in New York on March 19, 1916. “Richard” Faralla studied at the California School of Fine Arts. Previously a painter, in 1959 he turned to sculptures and reliefs assembled from small scraps of wood gathered from construction sites. A long-time resident of San Francisco, he died in Sonoma County, California on August 2, 1996. He exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, 1966 (solo). His work is held at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
