Holophane wall fixtures by Victor Schreckengost
- Description:
- These fixtures were designed by Mr. Schreckengost and distributed by the Holophane Company. A major problem with a lighting fixture is the glare caused by a bare bulb. To solve this problem Mr. Schreckengost and Holophane used prisms to control the diffusion of the light. These pair of fixtures have been sand blasted only. One of the fixtures has a slight cut out most likely for wire. Each measures 9.5” deep, 7.5” wide and 9.5” high. We’ve included picture of the book from The Cleveland Museum of Art and distributed by the University of Washington Press, Seattle. This is a great reference book!
