Description:
Pair of art deco ceramic figures by Geza de Vegh (1905-1989) the Hungarian-American sculptor who created a range of pieces for the Lenox and Lamberton Scammell porcelain works, both in Trenton, New Jersey. Each sculpture measures 3.5" wide, 3.5" deep and 10.5" high. De Veghs work was very popular among set designers and art directors in Hollywood.
Both pieces are signed by the artist and numbered 16 and 17 of a limited series. Number 17 is stamped underneath by both producer and artist alike. These examples of Art Deco at its finest are in mint condition.
