Description:
Cecilia Graham fringe mirror from the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition on Treasure Island in San Francisco. Cecilia was one of four women commissioned to create sculptures and participate in this event.

Born in San Francisco, CA on March 2, 1905. Graham studied at the CSFA, graduated from Mills College in Oakland, and studied sculpture with Oscar Thiede in Vienna, Louis de Jean in Paris, and with Carl Milles at Cranbrook Academy in Michigan. She exhibited and contributed statuary to the GGIE of 1939. Graham moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 1968 where she passed away in 1984.
