Description:
Betty Woodman (1930 - 2018 ) "Chair" consisting of a wooden chair with 12 ceramic pieces. This chair was made in 1994. Theres a sky blue tile which has a date of 3/9/94. This chair was part of the Denver Art Museum collection and sold/purchased in 2000. This chair will come with the original card/flyer detailing its provenance.
Betty Woodman born in 1930 is internationally recognized as one of the most important ceramic artists working today. She studied at Alfred University, School for the American Craftsman, New York. Received the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in 1980 and 1986. Here work has been exhibited in France, Italy, Holland and Japan in addition to various cities in the United States.
